Dr Angelos Giannakoureas

Dr Angelos Giannakoureas worked extensively in the public sector, most recently at Noarlunga. He advocated very strongly for improved clinical standards and quality of care.

He provides services for adults and those between 16 & 18, depending on the referral. He sees many patients with a history of trauma.

He does not provide appointments for insurance companies or bill through the DVA. Dr Giannakoureas does not assess for or treat ADHD.

Fees: Bulk Bills for follow-up appointments and 291 Assessments. Must have a referral from a GP.

Dr Michael Warhurst

Dr Michael Warhurst has extensive experience in adult general psychiatry, with a particular focus on anxiety disorders, major depression, veterans’ mental health, and other common psychiatric conditions.

Currently, his consultations are limited to Medicare item 291 reviews and assessments for GPs, with the option for Medicare item 293 reviews as well. These Medicare item 291 assessments are designed to provide diagnostic clarification and a treatment plan, but do not include ongoing or long-term psychiatric follow up. 

Patients and their GPs can use these assessments to guide ongoing treatment. Dr Warhurst does not provide formal diagnosis or treatment for adult ADHD. Patients seeking evaluation and diagnosis adult ADHD should consult a specialist ADHD assessment service. 

If a referral falls outside his scope of practice, he will inform the referring GP and suggest suitable alternatives if possible.
